Dear Parents,

At this time, the CDC, Community Care Licensing, and the Orange County Health Care Agency have not given us official notice to close. Therefore, we will remain open until further notice as we know many of you are relying on us for care.  To minimize the children's exposure to germs, we will be modifying our drop off and pick up procedures from March 16, 2020 through March 20, 2020. Additionally, we will continue our daily routine of cleaning and sanitizing the school thoroughly. 

We understand that many families are uncomfortable sending their children to school and if you do not plan to attend, please see the modifications below regarding optional supplemental homework. 

If you do plan to attend school next week, please email your Department Director by 12pm on Saturday, March 14 to let them know the hours your child will be at school so we staff our classrooms accordingly (ex: 8am - 4pm). 

 

Room 1 Modifications (For questions, please contact moh@ivycrest.org)

Drop off and pick up from the classroom. Only one parent may enter the building.  No touchscreens will be in use for next week. Please prepare snacks for your own child, and know that our snack rotation will resume on March 30.

Rooms 2 & 3 Modifications (For questions, please contact moh@ivycrest.org)

Drop off and pick up from the main house. Staff will escort students in small groups to/from the classroom. No touchscreens will be in use for next week. Upon pick up, please call the front desk 10 minutes before your estimated arrival and we will have your child sent to the front porch to greet you. 

Rooms 4 - 7 Modifications (For questions, please contact dsevilla@ivycrest.org)

For drop off between 7am - 8am, drop off at the front porch at the main house. You may only drop off via valet between 8:00am - 9:00am. 

For pick up, if you do not use afternoon valet (2:45pm - 3:15pm), please call the front desk 10 minutes before your estimated arrival and we will have your child sent to the front porch to greet you. No touchscreens will be in use for next week. 

If you choose to keep your child home from school, we will be happy to provide instructional packets for children ages 4 and above. Please note, these materials are considered supplemental instruction and do not take the place of classroom instruction.  If you requested a packet, they will be available for pick up on Monday after 4pm from the front porch.

For drop off between 7am - 8am, drop off at the front porch at the main house. You may only drop off via valet between 8:00am - 9:00am.   

For pick up, if you do not use afternoon valet (2:45pm - 3:15pm), please call the front desk 10 minutes before your estimated arrival and we will have your child sent to the elementary gate to greet you. No touchscreens will be in use for next week.
